Science Explanation: Salt & Pepper

2nd Balloon Experiment / Salt & Pepper

Why does Seasoning stick after friction.

Claim: The reason behind this experiment is magnetism caused by friction when rubbed by someone’s head. Because all the atoms on the balloon are heated and the friction separates the charges so you can’t see it, but the negative charge on the balloon was lifting the seasoning causing it to stick because the balloon was negatively charged and this made the salt and pepper particles slightly positive so when it was lifted it also stuck into the balloon sticking it.

Evidence:  When we did the experiment, after rubbing the balloon on someone’s head we held it over the top of the paper the seasoning stuck to the balloon.

Reasoning/Conclusion:  Magnetism is shown to be in friction when someone rubs their head with a balloon it heats up the balloon and their head and their head becomes positive energy and the balloon negative energy and hair was meant to keep us warm so we warm the balloon up more with the friction and the air rises the salt and pepper and sticks to the melting balloon.
